Stabilizer basics
Which stabilizer for which fabric.
- Cut-away: knits, sweatshirts, polos — anything stretchy.
- Tear-away: stable wovens, towels with a water-soluble topper.
- Water-soluble: free-standing lace and as a topper on terry or fleece.
Always test-stitch on a scrap of the same fabric.
